ACE Learns:
ACE Learns is ACE's webinar series, produced by staff, members, alumni and outside speakers, that is a chance for us to share knowledge across our organization and cover a variety of topics including: professional development, leadership, conservation, restoration, and history.

Implicit Bias Tests from Harvard: The Implicit Association Test (IAT) measures attitudes and beliefs that people may be unwilling or unable to report. The IAT may be especially interesting if it shows that you have an implicit attitude that you did not know about. For example, you may believe that women and men should be equally associated with science, but your automatic associations could show that you (like many others) associate men with science more than you associate women with science. These tests can be a good tool for self-reflection.
FEMA:
FEMA provides a number of courses and certifications for free on their website. These two courses are prerequisites for any member who is participating in disaster response with A-DRT (AmeriCorps Disaster Response Team).

- I-100 Introduction to ICS (Incident Command System)
GIS:
Check out esri for a variety of GIS trainings. You can select "free" in the search filter to see all of the free courses.
First Aid:
The Red Cross offers online courses in First Aid, Blood born Pathogens, and Opioid Response. Most of these cost around $30 each.

Mental Health First Aid:
Mental Health First Aid training is an 8 hour certificate course that is available for free in many locations. You can find a course here. Due to COVID-19 there may be virtual courses available soon as well.
ACE’s free Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Magellan Healthcare also has live learning webinar events and podcasts about developing healthy habits, mental health awareness, coping with anxiety, resiliency, and more! You can find instructions on how to log in by navigating to the section “5.2 ACE Assistance Program” in your Member Handbook and reach out to your ACE point of contact if you have any questions on how to access ACE’s EAP.
